Our exclusive gourmet & culture tour includes Tallinn and Lahemaa national park area along the northern coast of Estonia offering authentic cuisine experiences and also an interesting overview of Estonian cultural landmarks, traditions and intact nature.

From discovering the medieval Old Town of Tallinn and participating in  Hanseatic League feasts, you will move on to modern Estonian cuisine and learn some secrets from Estonian celebrity chefs. Check out Tallinn fish market and the Sea Plane Hangars and breathe some fresh air sailing on the Gulf of Finland. You will also be travelling along the idyllic fisherman villages, and be invited to a true Estonian home restaurant to taste fish caught by local fisherman this very morning.

DAY 1. TALLINN & THE MEDIEVAL CHARM OF THE OLD TOWN

L’avventura culinaria estone inizia nel pomeriggio in capitale, a Tallinn! Accompagnati dalla vostra guida, eccovi a gustare i primi assaggi di questa città ricca di storia e di particolarità e del suo centro storico medievale, riconosciuto come Patrimonio UNESCO – stradine secolari lastricate di ciottoli, case mercantili e piazze che vi trasportano in una autentica atmosfera medievale.

Per vivere appieno l’atmosfera medievale, la cena di benvenuto verrà servita al ristorante “Olde Hansa” - uno dei ristoranti più affascinanti di Tallinn. In onore della Lega Anseatica e degli anni d’oro di Tallinn, “Olde Hansa” propone una vera esperienza culinaria medievale. Sentirvi a casa nella ricca casa dei mercanti mentre assaporate ottimo cibo.

DAY 2. TALLINN: OLD TOWN, KADRIORG, PIRITA & ESTONIAN DINNER WITH COOKING COURSE

Spend a wonderful morning exploring the interesting history and stunning architecture of Tallinn’s Old Town on a 2-hour guided tour.

For lunch, you will stop at “MEKK” to explore some Modern Estonian Cuisine where its rich history has mixed gastronomy components from Danish, Sweden, Russian and German cuisine, not to forget its own unique nuances, becoming an ultimately enchanting and diverse phenomenon. All the raw produce used in modern Estonian dishes is extremely fresh and come, as much as possible, from Estonian ecological farms, emphasizing the healthiness of the diet!

After lunch enjoy a walk in the Kadriorg park to see the romantic swan pond, Kadriorg Baroque palace, Peter the First House and modern art museum KUMU. You will also visit the seaside Pirita to see St Bridget Convent, Song Festival Grounds and Pirita Harbor.

Especially for Magic Unica guests an exclusive experience to enjoy Estonian aperitif with kama and other traditional delicacies in the historic Tallinn Song Festival Grounds magnificent Lighthouse where you can enjoy the Surprise Aperitif with a romantic and breath-taking panorama over the harbor and the city of Tallinn!

Tonight you will have the chance to learn something more about the Estonian cuisine and participate in a cooking course and dinner at KÖÖK. The resident chef Tim Bramich uses his travel experiences and back­ground of work­ing in fine din­ing Miche­lin starred restaurants in Lon­don to explain and show you the basics of Estonian cuisine making. After a cou­ple of hours’ work you get to enjoy the fruits of your new culinary skills.

DAY 3. SEASIDE STORIES & PICTUERESQUE LAHEMAA NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will have a chance to discover the awaking, fresh and a bit edgy seaside area with the according cuisine: have a food stop at the fish market (only on Saturdays), walk the “Culture Mile” with en route stop at seaside design café “Klaus” for a soup or a salad and enjoy a 2-course lunch with wine at Seaplane Hangars restaurant/café.

After the inspiring Tallinn our culinary-minded visitors will be taken to explore the undiscovered beauty of Estonian nature at the Lahemaa National Park idyllic seaside fisherman villages Käsmu, Võsu, Vergi, Altja! Enjoy the stunning Palmse, Vihula and Sagadi manor houses complexes where your guide will give you a through overview of the manor history and the role of the Baltic-German elite in Estonian culture background.

For the accommodation you can choose between the luxury Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa - a charming manor house with spa facilities, fully renovated or otherwise a characteristic fishing village Viinistu for a more simple and authentic accommodation with breath-taking sea panorama and possibility to explore the local outstanding art museum.

DAY 4. LOCAL HOME RESTAURANT GOURMET & RELAXATION AT LAHEMAA

Enjoy the free morning at the Viinistu beach exploring the art museum, fishing or try one of the activities Vihula offers: art workshop with czars court painter, mini golf, treasure hunt, boat ride on the picturesque lake with bountiful picnic, raft rally or kayak training on lake and river, bog-shoes walking and many other activities. 

For lunch, your driver will take you to “MerMer” home restaurant with a breath-taking seaside panorama. Meet the Jaaniranna family, who have started their home restaurant inspired by their travels through different culinary traditions and bringing it to the Estonian culture context.

MerMer Culinary highlight: prawns on lettuce leaves, spicy tomato soup; flatfish, salmon or whitefish caught by local fisherman; venison, however, if a deer has outsmarted the hunter, it will be replaced by mutton, beef, hare or fowl.

In the afternoon optional activities according to the weather – in the summer months you can hit the beach and try a jet or a kayak, enjoy berry- and mushroom picking in the forests, or play a green fee at Estonian Golf & Country Club, with its beautiful 18-hole Sea Course offering amazing sea views. In other periods seasonal and cultural activities.

We have chosen “OKO” for dinner for the last glimpse of  biological, natural food made from the fresh local ingredients and the magnificent sea view at the charming port of Kaberneeme.  

After dinner you will drive back to Tallinn for some last-minute shopping and prepare for your departure the next morning.
